Cold Town House throwing party with Edinburgh Rugby players and free cake

The legendary Cold Town House will be celebrating its first birthday next week with a huge party and everyone is invited - including members of the local Edinburgh Rugby team.

The pub-slash-brewery was the result of a £4m investment by Signature Pubs which transformed the former Robertson Memorial Church and they haven't looked back since.

Cold Town House single-handedly revived a brewing tradition in the Grassmarket which dates back to the 16th Century, while offering an all-round great partying venue.

With everything from a micro brewery, to delicious cocktails and stone fired pizzas, as well as a rooftop terrace with spectacular views over Edinburgh Castle, this place has quickly become a favourite among revellers.

Now it is nearly time to celebrate how far they've come, as the venue's first birthday approaches they are set to hold a huge birthday bash at Cold Town House on Saturday 7 March, from 5pm-1am.

Not only will they be serving up a limited edition birthday brew, called 'Rasp-beery Birthday Cake', but Edinburgh Rugby players will be putting their muscles to good work by cutting a three foot birthday cake which will then be dished out to guests.

Entry is free on the night but you can call ahead or email to book a table.
