Cold Town House launches 'immersive beer experience' with guided tour and pint pouring lesson

Cold Town House in Edinburgh is launching an "immersive beer experience" with a guided tour and pint pouring lesson.

The team at the popular microbrewery bar, on the city's Grassmarket, say they are giving people the chance to take a look behind the scenes, and enjoy a special "meet the brewer" session.

Experiences will also include a tasting tray of Cold Town beers and a Neapolitan pizza made with the customer's choice of house beer – along with a masterclass in pouring the perfect pint.

Jamie Napier, general manager at Cold Town House, said they are "delighted to be able to offer this kind of insight into the whole brewing process to customers". They reckon it will be "hugely popular" with fans of the beer, but also those who have never tried it before.

Cold Town House was launched in March of last year by Signature Group, opening as a brewery, taproom, restaurant and roof terrace at the former site of Robertson Memorial Church.

Vouchers for the "immersive beer experience" are available to purchase on the Cold Town House website.

Cold Town House, at 4 Grassmarket, is open from 11am on weekdays and 10am weekends.
