On October 17, 2016, Michael Cohen made a phone call to Donald Trump at 5 p.m. The call lasted for 8 seconds, during which Cohen left a voicemail for Trump. According to Cohen's testimony, he called Trump to inform him that due to the failure to forward the funds, the agreement with Stormy Daniels had been declared void. Cohen explained that they would not be able to delay the matter past the election, as Trump had requested. He also mentioned that the story was going to be reported by the Daily Mail.
