Coco Lodge lifts lid on Love Island secrets including Casa Amor filming break not seen on TV

Booted Love Island contestant Coco Lodge has sensationally revealed some of the show's secrets including details of an unseen Casa Amor filming break and a method the boys used to communicate recoupling plans to each other.

The graphic designer from Surrey, who departed alongside Josh Le Grove during Friday's brutal instalment after Andrew Le Page recoupled with Tasha Ghouri, is now back in the UK.

Speaking on Capital Radio's Capital Breakfast show, the 27-year old told listeners there are long breaks between the bombshells and the original contestants, so producers can film both villas - unbeknown to viewers.

"We're separated from the boys for long periods of time, so our time to graft is like really, really small, which is why when we're kissing them straight away, it looks a bit desperate but actually like, we have to get in there, because otherwise we won't make it back," she explained.

In response to a question by host Roman Kemp, Coco then discussed how Islanders communicate in secret.

"We write messages to each other on the phone, like hide it under the duvet so they can't see," she explained.

"With the boys I think they did it before the Casa Amor recoupling to tell each other who they're picking, so it wasn’t so secret, so the boys knew who to have their back."

She also discussed what happens off camera when the girls are waiting to film their stint in Casa Amor.

"Us girls would just sit there staring at the boys working out in the gym, just talking about our dogs, Mollie would be saving bugs from the pool," she continued.

"We'd have loads of fun and it just made our friendships stronger, and we also had like a 24-hour break before the Casa Amor recoupling just to get into the boys' head a bit, so have them thinking about whether we are the better option than all their girls.

"I think there was maybe an hour of filming just when you get the text."

On leaving the show Coco revealed she has no hard feelings towards Andrew.

"Me and Andrew have no bad blood between us anymore. I still think he took things a bit far with me, however, I do understand when someone has a hold over you like Tasha has a hold over him, you can't forget them," she said.

"As soon as that person comes back it’s hard to want to pursue both when you have such strong feelings for someone because you’ve known them a lot longer."

She added during her exit interview: "I don’t have any bad blood towards him but I do wish maybe things were handled a bit differently and it didn’t go as deep with us in Casa. It is what it is and we’re cool."
