Confident German football icon Lothar Matthaus has dismissed Rangers' chances of causing a Europa League upset against Borussia Dortmund.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst 's side were paired with the former Champions League winners in a marquee playoff showdown with the winner heading to the last 16.
But 150-times capped Matthaus - who played in five World Cups, before going onto manage the likes of Hungary, Bulgaria, Partizan Belgrade and Rapid Vienna - believes Rangers have next to no chance of finding a way past Dortmund.
The former Bayern Munich and Inter Milan star - who famously clashed with Barry Ferguson 20 years ago - said: "Borussia Dortmund are very clear and big favourites against Rangers.
"This is an absolute top draw for Dortmund.
"I hope the fans are allowed into both games. If they are, Dortmund's players and supporters can look forward to a great atmosphere at Ibrox.
"But from a sporting point of view, I see Dortmund having a 90/10 chance of qualifying.
"Anything other than BVB advancing would be a huge surprise for me.
"Dortmund have a far easier task than RB Leipzig, who have to play against Real Sociedad. They will be up against a good, technical opponent, like all teams from La Liga.
"They don't have such a favourable draw as Dortmund. I would say they only have a 60/40 of advancing."
