Cocker Spaniel swept away by south side river found

Us here at Glasgow Live are ecstatic to report that Cubby the black cocker spaniel has been found.

Cubby was swept away yesterday in the swollen White Cart Water, but was found today after the desperate search by friends and family in the area.

After an amazing neighbourhood effort, a group of men climbed down to retrieve Cubby who was stuck in an embankment.

He is now reunited with owner, Amanda.

Friend Niki told Glasgow Live: "A woman was out looking for him and she let me know.

"He was stuck down an embankment near holmhead crescent...Some guys climbed down and now Amanda is there too."

@EyeintheskyGla said: "No Drone was required although was all ready to Drone Search & Rescue, we recovered him from the banking".

We are so happy to hear that Cubby is back home!
