Cocaine-snorting naked yob threatened to shoot young mum and police

A cocaine-fuelled naked yob threatened to shoot his ex-partner and open fire on police during a violent siege.

Christopher Noon flew into a jealous rage during a meeting with Amy Naylor , the mum of his two children, at her flat.

The 26-year-old accused her of sleeping with his cousin, then repeatedly kicked the terrified woman in the head and body.

The coward - who also bit Miss Naylor's lip and spat on her - refused to let the victim leave her home in Nutgrove Road, Thatto Heath .

When police arrived, at around 10.40pm on Saturday, August 24 last year, Noon told officers he had a gun and was prepared to shoot.

Liverpool Crown Court heard he warned: "I'm all strapped up. I have a gun and will shoot you. You're getting blasted. Got a strap lad."

Noon threatened to shoot Miss Naylor, before armed police used a distraction device and stormed the flat to rescue the frightened victim.

Nardeen Nemat, prosecuting, said Noon had grabbed the mum and pulled her into a bedroom, saying: "You're not going out and getting me nicked."

Neighbours heard arguing and called police, but Noon shouted to officers: "I have got a gun and watch what happens when you come in."

Noon barricaded himself behind the front door with furniture and began throwing objects out of the window, including a Polyfilla gun.

Ms Nemat said Noon was also seen clutching a large plank of wood, before he sunk his teeth into Miss Naylor's lip and spat at her.

Officers deployed the pyrotechnic device and entered the flat at around 1am, when Noon was seen moving towards Miss Naylor.

As a result he was Tasered and arrested, then found to not actually have a firearm, despite his repeated threats.

The victim said she suffered physical and emotional pain, had lost her sense of "self-worth", and felt "exploited".

Noon admitted false imprisonment, assault causing actual bodily harm, affray and breach of a restraining order.

He has 11 previous convictions for 17 offences, including robbery, and assault causing actual bodily harm.

The court heard Noon, of no fixed address, previously slashed a woman and set a dog on her.

Noon was hit with community and restraining orders in June last year, after breaking into Miss Naylor's home.

But it was accepted she invited him to her flat, in breach of the restraining order, on the day of the siege.

Chris Stables, defending, said the incident was the result of a "failing relationship", which had been "problematic".

He said Miss Naylor initiated the meeting and his client regretted his actions, which were "fuelled by drink and drugs".

Mr Stables said: "Both took drink and cocaine. There were heightened emotions, and he became jealous. Things went badly."

In a pre-sentence report, Noon claimed he couldn't remember assaulting his ex and blamed his behaviour on a head injury.

But he didn't provide any medical evidence to support this claims, which the court heard he no longer stood by today.

Judge Anil Murray said Noon had a "bad record" for violence, public disorder, harassment and breaching court orders.

He said Miss Naylor feared she would be killed and that Noon threatened to shoot her and police before his arrest.

Judge Murray said: "You were clearly under the influence of intoxicants and you were naked."

The judge - who imposed an indefinite restraining order - jailed scowling Noon for three years and four months.

He said: "You say that you're remorseful - it's difficult for me to accept that, given you've minimised your part in what happened."

Speaking after the case, Detective Constable Bob Sandham said: "Noon is clearly a dangerous man and to see him removed from the streets for the foreseeable future is welcome, both for us and for his victim, who has shown immense strength throughout this investigation.

"Hopefully to see Noon imprisoned will provide some comfort as she moves forward in her life, away from the fear, harm and distress Noon has caused.

"I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind any victim of domestic abuse that help and support is out there.

"Merseyside Police has dedicated, specially trained officers to support victims and those officers, together with partners, work all year round to help people experiencing or at risk of domestic abuse.

"There is a range of help available from specially trained officers in the forces Protecting Vulnerable People Unit, to IDVAs (Independent Domestic Violence Advisors) and numerous charities and organisations across Merseyside. If you can find the courage to come forward and report it, there are people ready to support you and treat you with compassion, respect and care."

To report domestic abuse you can contact @MerPolCC, 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. In an emergency always call 999.
