Coca-Cola's Latest Flavor Promises to Be The Most Bizarre One Yet

Coca-Cola is no stranger to new flavors and promotions. From its classic Coke flavor that nobody can quite duplicate to its novel marshmallow-flavored soda, the beverage giant is synonymous with refreshing soft drinks and tastes people clamor for.

This month, though, it's trying a new type of drink that you'll just have to taste to believe.

DON'T MISS: Coca-Cola Earnings Match Forecasts As Demand Outpaces Price Hikes

According to a statement by Coca-Cola, it will collaborate with singer Rosalía to create Coca-Cola Move. The limited-edition beverage will hit Canadian and U.S. shelves on Feb. 20 -- and they'll be hard to miss. The bottles and cans won't be in Coke's signature red and white packaging but instead an eye-catching hot pink.

Coca-Cola's Latest Drink Isn't Advertising Flavor

Announcing the upcoming launch, Coca-Cola described the upcoming flavor as just, "the boldest and edgiest Coca‑Cola Creations flavor yet." No flavor profile was described, with Coca-Cola senior director of global strategy Oana Vlad suggesting the drink was more of a movement.

"Transformation as a means of self-expression is powerful and resonant for today’s generation, and music is the universal language for transformation," Vlad said. "Partnering with the inspirational and genre-defying Rosalía to bring to life our latest drop under Coca‑Cola Creations has been a blast and has broken new ground for Coca‑Cola Creations. Coca‑Cola Move transforms the experience of drinking Coca‑Cola."

Rosalía is a grammy-winning artist who got her start flamenco dancing in Spain. The international pop star is known for hits like "Con Altura," "Linda," and "La noche de anoche."

Coke has been known to partner with stars in the past; in 2022 it partnered with DJ Marshmello to create a limited-edition Coca-Cola. It also released Dreamworld, which fans described as a mix between Skittles and Coke, and Coca-Cola Byte, a purple canned soda intended for gamers.

Coca-Cola has been known in the past to withhold details about upcoming limited-edition soda releases, instead beckoning fans to try it for themselves to make a determination about what it tastes like. For now, we'll just have to be happy with its description as transformational and edgy.
