Coca Cola makes change to iconic Christmas truck tour 2021

Coca-Cola has made a change to its iconic Christmas truck tour for 2021.

The tour, which was cancelled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, is known for its enormous red truck, bringing festive cheer and sparking jingles of 'Holidays Are Coming'.

As it returns to the streets for the first time in 24 months, Coca Cola is making a change, reports Daily Star.

The company has revealed it is holding back the dates of the truck tour until closer to the time when it has more certainty that it can go ahead.

Despite current coronavirus measures not blocking Coca-Cola's Christmas truck tour, the company says it is planning ahead in case that changes.

An inside source told the Daily Star: “The team behind the amazing truck tour understand that everyone is really keen the truck comes to their town because people love it.

“But it has been an unprecedented year and because of this, things will be a little bit different. There won’t be a long list of dates announced at once.

“Locations are still being finalised and will be announced region by region when they are confirmed and people will still have enough time to plan their visit."

Fans were told by Coca Cola on Twitter earlier this week to keep an eye out for news of whether the 'holidays are coming' jingle would be heard across the country this Christmas.

They continued: “This is so people are not left disappointed if there were to be further Government restrictions.

“The truck attracts a lot of interest and it’s important people feel safe and and happy.

“Coca-Cola want to be able to give everyone that Christmas magic.

“This Christmas is more important than any other year and they don’t want people to feel let down so we need to make sure everything is right.”
