Coca Cola Christmas truck skips Glasgow in favour of Edinburgh

We hoped to be bringing you better news today, Glasgow.

The 'Here's when the Coca Cola Christmas truck is coming to Glasgow' story was already written.

Yet, inexplicably, the soft drink manufacturer has announced Santa - and his famous truck - will not be coming to our city. Instead, Father Christmas is heading to our neighbours in the east. There must be some kind of mistake.

Holidays are coming they say ... just not to Scotland's finest city.

Holidays are coming ... (Daily Post Wales)

As Coca Cola announced this morning: "The countdown to Christmas has now officially started! We’re giddy (Glasgow isn't) with holiday joy and thrilled to announce the return of the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour.

"The 2019 tour will kick off on 15November and visit 19 locations nationwide, before making its final stop in London on 15December.

"Visit the truck in a glittering winter wonderland setting and enjoy festive photo moments – and a 150ml Coca-Cola zero sugar to help you get in the Christmas spirit.

"Not only that, when the Christmas Truck stops at Asda and Sainsbury’s stores, you’ll be able to visit the truck and buy a pack of 250ml glass bottles of Coca-Cola personalised with your name."

And if you're really desperate to see it, the Coca Cola truck will be in Edinburgh, this Friday and Saturday (November 16 and 17), at 32 Newcraighall Road.

We never liked it anyway ...
