Coca Cola apologises for truck not coming to Liverpool on its 2019 tour

Coca-Cola fans were disappointed to hear that the iconic red truck is not coming to Liverpool in 2019.

Dates were announced for this year's Coca-Cola truck tour 2019 earlier today - but Liverpool was not included for the second year running.

Coca-Cola confirmed it would be visiting 14 towns and cities including Leeds twice and London five times but it would it not be stopping here.

But a Coca-Cola spokesperson apologised for snubbing the city for a second time.

They said: "We’re sorry that the Coca-Cola truck will not be able to visit Liverpool this year.

"We try to cover as much of the country as possible, but unfortunately we can't visit every town and city.

"We update the route every year, making sure we visit locations which are easily accessible from the surrounding areas.

"This year, we are spending longer in each location, allowing those in nearby areas more time to travel to their nearest truck stop."

But there is some good news if you're still desperate to see the truck and claim your free can of coke as the truck is coming to Cheshire Oaks.

The massive lorry will be at Events Square at Cheshire Oaks from 12pm to 7pm on Friday and Saturday, December 13 and 14 .
