Cobh Ramblers launch ‘GoFundMe’ appeal after Storm Ciara destroys dugouts at St Colman’s Park

Cobh Ramblers have launched a ‘GoFundMe’ appeal after Storm Ciara destroyed the dugouts at St Colman’s Park today.

The First Division has been in the headlines in recent weeks because of ongoing uncertainty surrounding the make-up of the second tier.

But one of its members now has a more pressing and immediate concern in the wake of the status orange storm that battered the country.

Cobh Ramblers tweeted: “Unfortunately our dugout and the railings directly behind fell victim to #StormCiara.

“Obviously this isn't something that we had planned for financially with the new season set to start.

“We would be grateful if any local businesses or individuals could be of assistance in the repair.

“We need your help via our GoFundMe to get St Colman’s Park ready for our season opener on February 22.”

You can donate to the GoFundMe page here.
