Caring employees at McDonald’s Coatbridge restaurant relished the chance to go above and beyond to provide crucial financial support for charities in the community this Christmas.
Led by business manager Kenny Patrick, the team donated £300 to local football team Coatbridge Rovers, who will use the money to buy festive presents for some of the 70 less fortunate families that they support.
They also donated £100 to St Augustine’s toy donation, which will go towards buying toys for children who otherwise wouldn’t have a gift to open at Christmas time.
And for the second year running, the generous group raised £400 for Coatbridge Foodbank, an organisation that helps to ensure families and individuals in need get enough food and toiletries to last them throughout the festive period.
The money was collected by various fundraising events that took place throughout the year, as well as generous donations from crew and customers in store.
Kenny Patrick told Lanarkshire Live : “At Coatbridge McDonald’s we really take pride in helping and building relationships within our local community.
"We take great pleasure in supporting these organisations who do so much to help those less fortunate. We visited the organisations and got to hear from many people who shared their experiences with us.
"It’s a reminder for us to continue doing this work and continue to support them in any way we can - especially at Christmas time.”
