Coatbridge kid jumping for joy as his design is trampoline park's new mural

A Coatbridge schoolboy was jumping for joy as his cracking creation was chosen to bring an eye-catching splash of colour to a trampoline and inflatables arena.

A 15-metre blank wall in Rutherglen’s Flip Out venue has been brought to life with mural designs by primary school pupils – and 10-year-old Reece Prior’s work will take centre-stage.

Reece attends Garnock Lodge Primary in Renfrewshire and his winning design features a comic book-style Flip Out logo which appears on the wall alongside the other impressive creations by talented youngsters.

Sarah Falconer, art teacher at Reece’s school, said: “This has been a great initiative from Flip Out and an exciting experience for the children.

“We’re so proud that Recce was chosen as the winner and to see his design on the wall alongside so many impressive designs is just fantastic.”

George Gallacher, general manager at Flip Out, added: “We were blown away by the number of entries that we received for our mural competition and the winning design from Reece really caught our eye.

“But we felt that we couldn’t just choose one winner; we’ve selected designs from several schools to complete our blank wall, which is now bright and welcoming.

“We couldn’t have thought of a better way to bring our new Inflatflip area to life than by asking local young talent to do so.

“Since we opened, we’ve worked closely with schools, so it seemed only natural to give them the blank canvas to show off their creative talent.”

At 63,000 sq. ft., the Flip Out arena is one of the biggest trampoline parks in the world and Inflataflip recently added more excitement.

The 20,000 sq. ft inflatable features Total Wipeout-style giant bouncing balls, an airbag drop, a three-lane obstacle course, an inflatable drop slide and jumbo ball pools.

All schools that participated in the venue’s competition will receive a free trip to Flip Out.
