The black vehicle was deliberately set alight, with the fire spreading to the second vehicle, along with a nearby garage area.

No-one was injured as a result of the fire and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended to extinguish the flames.

Officers have conducted door-to-door and local CCTV enquiries and are asking anyone with information relating to the incident, or who could have additional CCTV or dash-cam footage, to come forward and assist police enquiries.

CCTV enquiries have established that a black vehicle attended within the estate area with its headlights off around the time of the incident. If you have any information on this vehicle, please get in touch with officers.

Those with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0089 of 6 December.

An anonymous report can be given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
