Coastguard teams have joined the search for a Wirral man last seen on Thursday night.
Concern is growing for missing Colin Jones, who was last seen at his home in Spital.
His Volkswagen transporter van was found in Bromborough on Friday afternoon.
Crews from the Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team were joined by colleagues from the Flint coastguard branch to carry out searches on Friday.
Conditions led to the search being suspended until 7am on Saturday, when the search resumed.
Explaining the operation, Wirral Coastguard Rescue wrote on Facebook: "Over the last two days, the team have been assisting Merseyside Police with a missing person search in the Eastham area.
"On 14th February, 2020, the team were tasked along with Flint Coastguard Rescue Team to conduct a search in the area the person was last seen.
"Given the fading light and dangerous search terrain, the search was suspended until daylight hours on 15th February.
"This morning, our team returned at first light and carried out a comprehensive search of the area."
The 61-year-old was last seen at his home on Venables Drive on Thursday night before leaving the house and going out in his van.
The vehicle has since been found on Riverwood Road, Bromborough.
He is described as a white male, 5ft 10in tall, with a medium build.
He has short, straight dark brown hair and is clean shaven. He was wearing a green waterproof jacket, black jeans and brown shoes.
