What’s Going To Happen
Just when it seemed like Coastal Carolina was going to be a factor and in the mix for a bowl game, it got rocked in two straight losses to make this far, far more difficult.
Can the Chanticleers stop the run? Yeah, it can do it enough to hold serve. The secondary is the star, but that’s not a thing against the Georgia Southern attack.
The Eagles got a win over South Alabama last week, but the attack isn’t working. Dead last in the nation in third down conversions, they’re not grinding out drives like they’re supposed to with this attack.
For all its faults, Coastal Carolina does the one thing that crushes this Eagle team – it dominates the clock. There aren’t too many turnovers and the slow, deliberate style is enough to keep Shai Werts – who has 195 rushing yards over the last two weeks – and company on the sidelines.
