Two people and a lucky pupper had to be rescued after being cut off by the tide in North Dublin on Sunday.
Max and his two humans were out for a midday stroll when the tide suddenly rose forcing them to call for help.
The lads in Howth immediately went out in search and found the trio and took them to safety.
Posting pics shortly after, the Coast Guards praised them for not taking chances and warned everyone to be wary when walking on shorelines.

They said: "Today at 12:33 while out on exercise the Irish Coast Guard boat from Howth was tasked to 2 people and a dog (Max) that were cut off by a rising tide.

"The crew immediately responded and began a search for the casualties. They were quickly located, taken aboard the boat and returned to a safe location ashore.
"The callers did the right thing when they realised they were in trouble. The called 112 and asked for the Coast Guard.

"Be careful when walking on shorelines. Tides can rise quickly and some areas can be cut off faster than you expect. If you find yourself in this situation immediately call 112 or 999 and ask for the Coast Guard."
