Pro-legitimacy in Yemen coalition announced Wednesday issuing two licenses for ships heading to Yemeni ports to unload, and five others awaiting to enter while there is a ship in Salif Port discharging its load of wheat.

Pro-legitimacy in Yemen leadership said that the Houthi militia confiscates ship G Muse in Hodeida port, while the ship Volante entered after 40 days from detention.

Secretary of the Hodeidah district, Walid al-Qadimi told Asharq Al-Awsat that one of the ships entered Salif Port and the rest of the ships are still in the sea. As Houthis continue to seize the port, the ships will remain late in arrival and seized for unknown reasons.

Pro-Iran Houthi militias still exploit Hodeida Port until today through looting humanitarian aid and making use of the legitimacy and the coalition keenness that the port continues to operate for humanitarian causes, Qadimi added.

Secretary of the Hodeidah district noted that Houthi militias impose royalties on the traders’ ships and is looting what is in the containers in an illegal way – he stressed that as long as Houthis lay hands over Hodeida Port the ships entrance will be hindered and stopped.

Governor of Hodeidah Dr. Al Hassan Ali Taher said that the national army supported by the Yemeni resistance and the Pro-legitimacy in Yemen coalition is getting prepared to continue the military operations to liberate Hodeida, after Houthis rejected to withdraw safely from Hodeida and its port.

Taher told Asharq Al-Awsat that the military decisiveness is the only language understood by Houthis – they are good at deceit and they don’t respect their word.

“Only military decisiveness is useful to liberate Hodeida and the other regions under their control,” he said.
