The Coalition to Fight Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Thursday the arrival of 15 Saudi and four Sudanese prisoners of war at the King Salman Airbase in Riyadh.
“The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition highly appreciates the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths,” over the implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement.
The landmark prisoner swap between the Yemeni government and Houthi militias in Yemen began Thursday.
The two sides agreed to exchange 1,081 prisoners under a deal struck in Switzerland last month.
