The glossiest, most Valencia-filtered festival in the world finally got under way on Friday 12 April.
Every spring, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival sees swathes of models, actors and social media darlings swan around the Palm Springs desert resort in California to watch some of the biggest names in music.
This year’s headline acts include Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande and Tame Impala, with Solange, Weezer and the 1975 also set to perform.
But Coachella is about so much more than musical prowess.
Given the annual celebration takes place in sweltering heat, it offers festival goers an unbridled opportunity to be more playful with their outfits than they would in, say, a muddy field in south-west England.
