Coach says 'interest is increasing' in reported Nottingham Forest target

Interest is “increasing” in reported Nottingham Forest target Hosam Aiesh, according to his coach.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the Swedish attacker, with his club, Ostersunds FK, said to have placed a pricetag of at least 2m euros on his head.

It is claimed Championship rivals Leeds United and Reading are also keen, while Aiesh has previously been the subject of a bid from a Turkish team.

And Ostersunds boss Ian Burchnall says he expects to receive plenty of phone calls about the winger/forward in the next few weeks.

Aiesh was missing when his team returned to training from an international break over the weekend, but Burchnall has dismissed any suggestion that means a move could be imminent.

“He is coming back (from a holiday), so it has nothing to do with rumours of other clubs,” he told Swedish outlet Ostersunds-Posten.

“But interest is of course increasing.

“I expect to hear from several big clubs in the coming weeks.”

Aiesh has made eight appearances for the Swedish team so far this season, scoring one goal, with their campaign having kicked off in March.

He has expressed a wish to move on from the club he joined in 2015, saying: “I think everyone knows that I want to leave this summer.

“I have been at Ostersunds FK for four-and-a-half years this summer.

“I have had a great time and enjoy it, but it feels like I want to try something new and sometimes it has to do with time as well.

“I want to find something new and try something new for my development.”
