An assistant baseball coach is accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl in south suburban Beecher.
Michael Takacs, 24, is charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, four counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of battery, the Will County sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Takacs, who was an assistant baseball coach at Beecher Junior High School and Beecher High School, was living with the victim’s family when he allegedly made inappropriate contact with the girl on two occasions in 2018, the sheriff’s office said. Takacs also allegedly sexually assaulted the girl on April 1, 2019.
The sheriff’s office said Takacs made incriminating statements to detectives. An arrest warrant was issued on July 11.
A Will County judge ordered Takacs held on a $500,000 bail, the sheriff’s office said.
