Co-op launch new £5 pizza and beer deal that saves you more money than you spend

With only a few more days left until the weekend, pizza and beer fans may want to swing past the Co-op on their way home, who have just launched the meal deal bundle of dreams.

As Co-op customers can pick up two pizzas and a four-pack of Budweiser beer for just £5.

Usually setting you back £10.60 for the bundle, the pizza and beer offer has a total saving of £5.60 - meaning you actually spend more than you save.

Sadly, there's only two pizzas available in the deal: Co-op Thin & Crispy Margherita Pizza and Co-op Thin & Crispy Pepperoni Pizza - although you can mix and match. For example, one margherita and one pepperoni, or two margheritas or two pepperoni, depending on what mood you're in.

If you don't want the beer, you can swap it for a four pack of diet coke or Coca-Cola bottles instead ( worth £2.50 ).

However it works out much better value for money if you do opt for the Budweiser, with the same four pack setting you back £3.50 alone at Asda right now.

Launching in stores nationwide today (10 July), the offer is available until the 6th August in Co-ops, Nisas and Costcutters around the country, so you have quite a while to get yours.

If you've got a membership card, you'll also get 5% back on pizza, while NUS card holders get an extra 10% off.

Elsewhere, Iceland have also just unveiled that they're slashing the price of Dr Oetker pizzas to £1 - the lowest price in the UK.
