Co-op is selling Easter eggs just three days after Christmas

We have only just opened our Christmas presents and digested our yummy dinners but some supermarkets are already preparing for the next big holiday.

According to Mirror Online, Co-op is already stocking their shelves with Easter eggs just three days after Christmas.

Pictures reveal that one store in Yorkshire is already selling the chocolate treats even though Easter is more than four months away (April 12).

Cadbury's Buttons Eggs are an sale for £3.49 and you can grab a Smarties Egg for £1.70.

However, these Easter chocolate deals aren't ideal for those planning a new year health kick.

Facebook users have called the supermarket 'greedy' (Hull Live)

Many social media users are not happy about the eager supermarket and have taken to Facebook to express their surprise and indignation, reports HullLive.

One said: "Would you believe it. Co-op selling Easter eggs already!"

Another posted: "What is wrong with all retail companies? Please let us enjoy Christmas, I think it is GREED with them."

Co-op isn't the only supermarket stocking their Easter chocolate early, as B&M was also selling the sweet treats earlier this month.
