Police are investigating a "suspicious approach" in Co Down .
Local reports suggest that a man followed a boy to his Portavogie home and "only left by being pushed out the door by the mother of the child".
Police said they are investigating the incident in the Lawson Park area.
The PSNI's Inspector Robinson said: "It was reported that a boy was followed home by a man on Monday evening, just after 5pm. The suspect departed when confronted by the child’s mother.
"The man is described as being aged in his fifties, approximately 5'4" in height, of small to medium build, and wearing a dark coloured tracksuit.
"Anyone who was in the area, or who noticed any suspicious activity, is asked to get in touch on 101, quoting reference number 1814 of 01/01/20."
