Co Antrim crash near primary school claims life of man in his 70s

A man in his 70s has died from injuries sustained in a crash near a Co Antrim primary school on Tuesday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the one vehicle smash on Garryduff Road, Ballymoney, around 5.30pm.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police can confirm a man aged in his 70s has died as a result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the Garryduff Road, Ballymoney (close to Garryduff Primary School) at approximately 5.30pm on Tuesday, 2 April.

"Inspector David Anderson is appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or who has dash-cam footage that could assist police with their investigation to contact police at Ballymoney on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 945 02/04/19."
