Co Antrim crash leaves person in hospital

A person has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Co Antrim.

The collision took place at around 9.20am this morning on the Glenravel Road near Cargan.

Three emergency crews were dispatched to the scene by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

The Air Ambulance also attended the incident with the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service crew on board.

Paramedics carried out initial treatment at the scene.

Following assessment, one patient was taken to the Antrim Area Hospital by ambulance.

The Glenravel Road was closed in both directions at Cargan near Glenariff Forest Park.
