Co Antrim crash involving car and tractor leaves man in hospital

A man in his 30s is being treated for serious injuries following a crash in Co Antrim.

Police said the incident took place on the Frosses Road, Cloughmills at around 3.45pm this afternoon.

It is understood to have involved the man's car and a tractor.

His injuries are not reported to be life-threatening.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital following after his car collided with a tractor on the Frosses Road, Cloughmills at around 3.45pm.

"His injuries are described as serious but not life threatening.

"One lane blocked is currently blocked northbound and traffic remains heavy in the area."

Meanwhile police have put diversions in place following another road traffic collision, which also involved a car and a tractor in Co Derry.

A PSNI spokesperson said just before 6.30pm on Friday: "There's between a collision involving a car and a tractor on Victoria Road between Derry/Londonderry and Strabane.

"Diversions are in place."
