CNBC to join Freesat

Financial news channel CNBC is to become available on Freesat next week, putting it on free-to-air television for the first time. The pan-European channel, which is owned by US giant NBC Universal and headquartered in London, is already available on the pay-TV platforms of Sky, Virgin and TalkTalk TV. Its launch on Freesat, on Tuesday next week, will take its distribution to 12 million households in the UK, while across Europe, the Middle East and Africa it is available to a total of 110 million households.
