CMS has appointed Julie Devlin to its Finance Practice Group as an Of Counsel based in Glasgow.
She brings joins from Dentons with nearly 29 years' experience and is a specialist in regulated credit and hire. Devlin began her career in 1991 as a trainee at Thompsons before moving to McClure Naismith where she spent 21 years in its consumer finance team.
Bill McCaffrey, partner in CMS’s UK Financial Services and Products team and head of its Consumer Credit practice, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Julie to our team. She has more than 25 years’ experience acting for financial services clients in relation to consumer finance advisory matters.
"Her regulated credit and hire specialism involves her in providing clients with FCA perimeter guidance and drafting contract documents for regulated credit and hire products. Julie has also been involved, throughout her career, in contentious consumer finance litigation on behalf of clients, appearing in courts throughout Scotland.”
