CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy leaves for Davos meet, Andhra Pradesh to present 3 sessions

VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday left for Davos from Vijayawada. He will attend the 52nd annual meeting of the World Economic Forum from May 22 to 26. Other officials, including ministers, had left for WEF meet the previous day.

The state government has already opened a pavilion at the WEF venue. It will present three sessions during the annual event. The first session will be on healthcare on May 23, followed by two sessions on education and skills, and transition to decentralised economy on May 24.

The chief minister will address one of the sessions - 2030 Industrial Development Agenda - where he will focus on areas where public-private partnership and international partnership are required in industrial promotion, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

Jagan will attend the conference with a delegation from the state which include ministers Buggana Rajendranath and Gudivada Amarnath, principal secretary Karikala Valavan, and APIIC chairman Mettu Govinda Reddy.

The state has become a platform associate of the conference from being a member and thus will have access to all conferences of CEO-level interactions, public figure dialogues, projects and workshops.

With a pavilion at the event, the AP delegation will showcase the rapid strides being made by the state. Focusing primarily on integrated and comprehensive social development policies initiated by the state, the overall theme of AP will highlight the strong paradigm shift the state has made.
