Clydeside Expressway - Two taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash

Two were taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash on the Clydeside Expressway this evening.

Emergency crews raced to the westbound carriageway at Sawmill Road after the accident, which happened at around 5:11pm.

Police, paramedics and three fire engines were sent to the scene and two were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as a precautionary measure, a fire service spokeswoman confirmed.

Congestion was reported up to Castlebank Street as commuters faced delays to their journey.

Traffic Scotland confirmed as of 9pm the A814 remains closed at Sawmill Road. Check their website for overnight updates.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "At around 5.11pm, we were called to reports of a three-car road traffic collision on the A814 westbound.

"Emergency services attended the incident."
