Clydeside Expressway Glasgow crash: Emergency services respond to incident sparking traffic delays

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a crash on the Clydeside Expressway this evening, with eyewitness reports suggesting a 'vehicle is on its side' following the collision.

Two eastbound lanes of the A814 road have been shut down since by the police, with Traffic Scotland first reporting the incident shortly after 8pm this evening.

Further details about the incident are unknown at this time, however Glasgow Live readers have reported a serious crash, with at least eight emergency service vehicles at the scene near Finnieston and traffic backed up to the Riverside Museum.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.

Glasgow Live have contacted Police Scotland for comment.

Traffic Scotland's latest update advises: "UPDATE 20.57

"#A814 Clydeside Expressway Lanes 1 & 2 (of 3) remain closed E/B at Finnieston Street due to an RTC.

"Emergency services are on scene.

"Traffic is slow on approach."
