Clydebank street cordoned off after woman found injured

A residential street in Clydebank has been cordoned off by police after a woman was found injured.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Waulking Mill Road around 1.30pm on Monday afternoon after being alerted to the incident.

The injured woman has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Her condition is currently unknown.

Eyewitnesses have reported more than a dozen police cars on the scene.

Officers are currently guarding a property on the street as investigations are ongoing.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland was made aware of a woman who was found injured on Waulking Mill Road in Clydebank shortly before 1.30pm on Monday, May 11.

"She has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing."
