Clydebank rockers The Ronains taunt Noel Gallagher after 'Flower of Scotland' tune beats him to No1 spot

Scots band The Ronains have beaten Noel Gallagher to the number one spot in the UK rock charts with their rendition of Flower of Scotland.

The Clydebank rockers taunted the Oasis star after they landed the premium spot, ahead of his song We're on Our Way Now.

Band singer Linzi tagged Noel and his brother Liam in the post, and teased their success.

She wrote: "So @liamgallagher us Scots @theronains just whipped @NoelGallaghers arse in the rock charts..no bad for a 3rd world country eh?"

And their fans were delighted at The Ronains success.

One wrote: "Well done. Gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it."

Another added: "I am absolutely buzzing for you guys!!"
