Clydebank crash victim, 82, dies after being rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital

An 82-year-old pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Clydebank on Saturday morning.

The man was rushed to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth Hospital following the incident which took place on Chalmers Street at around 11.45am on April 15.

He was sadly pronounced dead it hospital. Police are now appealing for information into the tragedy.

Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.

“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to please come forward.

“Anyone with information or dashcam footage which could assist our enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1375 of 15 April, 2023.”
