Clydebank attack: Man rushed to hospital after being seriously assaulted

A man was hospitalised after being attacked in Clydebank late on Sunday night.

Police were alerted to reports of a serious assault at a property on Garscadden View at around 11.30pm.

Emergency services arrived at the scene to find a 26-year-old man with injuries. He was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Police have now launched an investigation into the shock incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.30pm on Sunday, 25 July, we received a report of a man having been seriously assaulted at a property in Garscadden View in Clydebank.

“Emergency services attended and the 26-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University hospital for treatment, and discharged a short time later.

“Enquires into the incident remain ongoing.”
