A crash between a car and a bike has closed a street in the city centre.

Emergency services raced to Clyde Street in the Bridgegate area after receiving a call at around 4pm. It is not yet known whether there have been any injuries.

The road is shut to traffic west bound at the junction of Stockwell Street / Gorbals Street. Road users are advised to use an alternative route until further notice.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We were called at 4pm to Clyde Street to a report of a road crash involving a car and a bike. Emergency services are in attendance."

More to follow.

UPDATE: Glasgow City Council confirmed that as of 5.10pm all lanes are now open.
