Clyde seal Ross Cunningham permanent switch after Hamilton Accies exit

Clyde have snapped up former loanee Ross Cunningham after he left Hamilton Accies last week.

The 22-year-old rose through the ranks at New Douglas Park after joining the club in 2009 and was the club's joint top scorer last season with seven goals.

However, he was shipped out on loan to The Bully Wee in the second half of the curtailed League One campaign after his chances became limited under Brian Rice.

Delighted Broadwood boss Danny Lennon vowed to help Cunningham reach hit full potential.

He told the club website: "We are really delighted to have signed up Ross on a permanent deal, after having him here on loan at the end of last season.

"We are excited by what he brings. His energy, drive and ability to see things are all tremendous assets.

"We believe we can help him fulfil more of his potential and that he can make a real telling contribution this season in a Clyde jersey.

"He is a real asset in the final third of the pitch and I'm sure that we can work together to help him achieve significant stats in terms of goals, assists and link play."
