Clyde face more Covid chaos as Forfar game postponed with players self-isolating

Clyde's clash with Forfar has been postponed in the latest Covid blow for The Bully Wee.

The League One side have informed the SPFL they do not have enough players to fulfil the fixture with several members of the Broadwood squad self-isolating.

Last Saturday's game with East Fife was also called off with four players had tested positive for the virus.

With the Cumbernauld club already facing one SPFL probe after pulling out of the Bayview clash, the SPFL have today confirmed the club will be under the microscope for The Loons call-off as well.

An SPFL statement read: "Saturday’s Scottish League 1 match between Clyde and Forfar Athletic at Broadwood Stadium has been postponed after Clyde informed the SPFL that they could not fulfil the fixture.

"Clyde have informed the SPFL that, due to the number of players currently self-isolating, they have insufficient players to fulfil the fixture.

"As a result, and in line with standard procedure, the SPFL has postponed the fixture pending an investigation into the circumstances leading to the postponement."
