Clyde manager Danny Lennon says his side showed heart and character to come back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Peterhead on Saturday.
Coming into the game off a bruising Scottish Cup exit to Clydebank, Lennon’s side found themselves 2-0 down to the Blue Toon inside 26 minutes through Russell McLean and Grant Savoury strikes.
David Goodwillie’s penalty in first half stoppage time pulled a goal back and he netted again seven minutes after the restart to claim a point.
The Bully Wee face Alloa Athletic this Saturday and sit ninth in League One.
Lennon said: “I thought in the first 15 minutes or so we matched up very well and I thought the game was very much in the balance. Then, as a good Peterhead side do, they press you hard.
“You need to be able to cope with that and match that. They get their wee break and I thought they were very lively. They got 1-0 up with very little in the game.
“Then Peterhead score a second, and if you see the calamity, it just sums up some of the mistakes we have made this season. You could see the frustration in the players. I felt for them.
“You could see that they were giving everything for the jersey. We were maybe not united as we needed to be.
“The timing of the penalty on the stroke of half-time gave us something to fight for and the response we got was excellent. I thought we really took the game to them.”
