Clyde boss Danny Lennon urges Bully Wee fans to be '12th man' against East Kilbride

Danny Lennon expects the travelling support to roar on Clyde against East Kilbride tonight.

The Bully Wee travel to K-Park tonight for their first ever competitive encounter against the Lowland League side.

Clyde will leapfrog EK in Group G of Premier Sports Cup with a win tonight to give the Broadwood side a strong chance of qualifying.

Lennon knows that Kilby are a strong side but he hopes to be boosted by Clyde away support.

He told the club website: “The Clyde support always travel well and they’re that 12th man for us.

"It’s a tight pitch, they will be close to us and when we have games like that we certainly get a good reaction and that results in positive performances.

“It’s going to be a good challenge for us. As things have worked out this group is now wide open so there’s a lot to play for.

Lennon hopes the Clyde support will make a difference at K-Park (SNS Group)

"I think it’s a really good chance for any club to go through but what we know ourselves is we have to get out the traps early.

“We have done our homework on East Kilbride and we know the quality that their individuals have, and we are still building and preparing our own squad at the moment which takes a bit of time.

"There’s certainly aspects from the last two games that we’re pleased with, but there’s also aspects of the games we’re dying to get on the training ground and work on."
