Clyde boss Danny Lennon has fans in stitches as he suffers wardrobe mishap during awards do

Clyde manager, Danny Lennon, had Scottish football fans in stitches at the club's end of season awards do last night.

The 51-year-old surprised the Glasgow club's supporters, and the rest of Twitter, as he presented the virtual prize giving.

While appearing to have his black tie outfit on, it turned out his wife hadn't ironed his trousers, so he was dressed in only his boxers on his bottom half.

But he didn't give away the gaffe until signing off for the night when he left his chair and revealed the mishap.

Lennon, who led St Mirren to League Cup glory in 2013, wasn't immune to the pitfalls of online streaming after he turned up missing the vital piece of kit and was caught on camera.

In the clip Danny can be heard saying: "So ladies and gentlemen, it is goodnight from the Lennon towers.

"Thank you for watching and I look forward to seeing you all again very,very soon.  Continue to stay safe."

The manager then gets up from his chair and shouts: "Have you ironed those trousers yet?"

Whether staged or not, the clip has raised more than few laughs after its release as the club try to lift the gloom currently surrounding Scottish football.

Fans commented on the video calling Lennon a 'legend' and saying the stunt was 'brilliant and hilarious'.

With games still likely to be weeks, if not months, away, Lennon has managed to provide the entertainment despite being in his living room instead of patrolling a touchline.
