Clyde 1's George Bowie releases charity single to raise money for NHS

Clyde 1's George Bowie has released a charity single to raise funds for the 'Heroes' in Scotland who are helping with the fight against coronavirus.

The breakfast show presenter has teamed up with fellow DJ Sparkos and Hamilton singer Stephanie Cheape to bring out a song called Heroes, which is a remaster of the classic David Bowie song.

All money raised from the song will be donated to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Carers Trust Scotland.

Taking to Twitter George said: "It's here! Our new single Heroes is out NOW to download. All the money will be split between @NHSGGC & @CarersTrustScot so if you want to download it and do your bit that would be much appreciated!"

Within hours of being released, the tune has made it to number 43 on the iTunes chart.

George was delighted. He said: "Sitting at Number 43 on I Tunes after only a couple of hours. Can't thank you guys enough."

You can download the song here.
