Premier Division clubs have told the FAI that they will press ahead with streaming their own matches after the summer break.
All of the top flight clubs - and some First Division sides - will provide a live match, two-camera production with replays.
Pixelot’s artificial intelligence cameras - installed in Premier grounds and which have been used to stream First Division and WNL matches up to now - won’t be used.
The existing WATCHLOI streaming service is ending tomorrow as RTE needs to channel its funds elsewhere this summer with the GAA, Olympics and Euros looming large.
While the FAI intended to use one identical template for its replacement streaming service, the clubs had other ideas.
Similar to WATCHLOI, the package on LOI TV - for the remainder of this season - will continue to be sold centrally on one subscription.
A menu of matches will still appear on the homepage of that website and fans can still click into the game of their choosing.
The only difference will be that the majority of clubs themselves - rather than RTE - are streaming the games - and commentary - into an FAI feed.
Outside production companies have been sourced by some clubs which means the standard of live match production could vary from club to club.
