Clubber shocked to discover 'weirdo' stranger was hunky Paul Mescal in unearthed snaps

A clubber was shocked to discover hunky Paul Mescal was in the background of a snap she took on a random night out after she thought the heartthrob was "some weirdo".

Orlmae Joscon bumped into the actor last February at The Workman's Club in Dublin, but at the time she didn't know it.

She only realised who it was after having an old disposable camera developed, with the Normal People star lurking in the background as they unknowingly partied the night away together.

At the time, Orlmae thought Irish hunk Paul, 25, was a "weirdo" stranger in the crowd.

"Just got my 2020 disposable cameras developed and found pre-famous Paul Mescal in my pics lol," she shared on Twitter.

"We spent the whole night dancing with him and just assumed he was some weirdo."

In the snaps, he can be seen with both hands in the air, smiling straight at the camera in the distance.

Paul shot to fame after playing the role of Connell Waldron in the BBC drama series.

The breakthrough star recently addressed speculation about whether or not there will be a second season of Normal People in the pipeline.

The talented actor revealed that although there are “no plans” to renew the hugely popular coming-of-age series, he would jump at the chance to be reunited with his Normal People family.

“I would love to do a Normal People season 2,” Paul insisted.

"I would work with Daisy again in a heartbeat and regardless of working with her again, I'm just really excited to see her so we can see each other again. It would be great.”

The BBC star told Digital Spy: “At the moment, there's nothing at all in the pipeline so I don't want to be quoted on 'maybe there's going to be a Normal People season 2'.

“There's nothing at the moment."

Back in June, he won his first ever gong for Leading Actor at The British Academy Television Awards - but he dedicated it to his co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones.

After thanking the cast he dedicated a speech to her, after the pair enjoyed such great chemistry and friendship in the drama.

“You are the best scene partner and one of the best people I know,” Paul said.

Speaking backstage afterwards, Paul added: “It's a role that totally changed my life and has given me an opportunity to continue doing the job that I love.

“I think it struck a chord because it's seeing two people that people feel like they can relate to and seeing how they navigate life.”
