The Club World Cup final is upon us as the new-look tournament is fast approaching its end.
It will all be on the line as Chelsea face Paris Saint-Germain in a must-watch final at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
Chelsea put their shaky group stage behind them to beat Benfica 4-1 in an extraordinary encounter in Charlotte, North Carolina before edging past Estevao Willian’s Palmeiras to reach the semi-finals, where they will face Fluminense on Tuesday evening.
PSG were relentless as they cruised beyond XabiAlonso’s depleted Real Madrid in the semi-final, racing to a 3-0 lead with not even 25 minutes on the clock before adding one more for good measure in the late stages.
They came into the tournament as favourites and seem set to make good on that billing, but Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea stand in their way.
