Transfer twist
Defender Nicholas Ioannou has been heavily linked with a move to Nottingham Forest - but it has been claimed there could be a twist in any potential transfer.
Reports in his homeland had previously suggested a deal had been agreed for the Cypriot to join the Reds from APOEL Nicosia.
But Greek journalist Gerasimos Manolidis, from the newspaper Sportime, says that has now been “put on hold”.
It is claimed Italian outfit Brescia Calcio have swooped in with a “better offer” after Forest “delayed sending the documents” to secure Ioannou’s switch.
Aiming high
Joining a club with an ambition which matches his own was a key factor in Tyler Blackett’s move to Nottingham Forest.
And the summer signing has no doubts the Reds can quickly put last season’s heartache behind them - after all, he knows a little bit about how Sabri Lamouchi’s squad will have been feeling.
Blackett made it to the Championship play-off final with former club Reading in 2017, only to fall at the final hurdle as Huddersfield Town triumphed on penalties at Wembley.
Forest, too, suffered a late collapse last term as they agonisingly missed out on a top six finish.
Deal agreed
Liverpool Sheji Ojo has wrapped up a move to Cardiff City despite Nottingham Forest showing an interest in the winger.
Ojo was unveiled by the Bluebirds today and says he has much to prove as he became the club's third summer signing.
Forest were linked heavily with the Liverpool wideman, but Cardiff boss Neil Harris convinced him to move to Wales.
And speaking for the first time since putting pen to paper, he says he is ready for the challenge of leading a promotion push.

Transfer talk
The tabloid media in Greece have again linked Nottingham Forest defender Yuri Ribeiro with a move to Olympiakos.
But journalist Gerasimos Manolidis, of Sportime, says the left-back is not a target for PAE who are also owned by Forest supremo Evangelos Marinakis.
Ribeiro had been linked with the Greek giants last month as part of a double move involving Reds midfielder Tiago Silva.
But Manolidas said Olympiakos will not sign him.
