Club owner's brutal response to someone refusing to enter venue if face masks are still being worn

A club owner delivered a brutal response after receiving a snotty email enquiring if face masks were still being worn at her venue. Sam Dabb who runs popular Newport nightspot Le Pub in the city centre was contacted earlier this week from someone in Berkshire who demanded to know what the rules were.

He stated that he and his friends would not be attending an upcoming gig there if "more than one or two face nappies" would be on show. The unnamed punter wrote, "We would really like to come to see the Sacramanga Six on April 21" - referring to a Huddersfield rock band of the same name.

"However, I am wondering what the Covid rules now are in Wales. We won't be coming if there are ANY rules followed or enforced, and any more than one or two face nappies will certainly put a dampener on my evening. "Be honest, do people still don face masks in your venue? I can probably manage one or two punters wearing them, but do the staff wear them? Or the security."

He added that he wanted to know in advance because, living in Berkshire, the journey to South Wales would be "a hike." However, Le Pub boss Sam's reply - which she posted on her Facebook page - wasn't taking any prisoners.

"Don't come then," she wrote. "If people wearing masks offends you so much then stay home.

"We support everyone's right to do whatever they please, including the right to wear a mask if they choose. If you're such a silly little snowflake that you are offended by that then go f*** yourselves,

"And yes, that is the official response from the venue."

And the remarks received a positive response on social media. "What a bizarre attitude to life," posted one Le Pub regular. "What else about other people's choices do they want to police - glasses? False teeth? Blue trousers?"

"Substitute 'mask wearers' for any other minority group - black/gay etc - and you see it for what is is, a hateful comment, " wrote another. "'Face nappy' seems an appropriate term mind given the s*** that probably comes out of their mouth," added a third.

Meanwhile, another comment summed things up very concisely. It simply read, "Bloody hell Sam, don't hold back, LOL."
